Walmart furniture deals

Measure before the discount does the deciding

Furniture is the category where a great price on the wrong size costs the most to undo. Before you compare deals, measure the space, the doorways and any stairs the box has to pass. Use the dimensions on the listing — width, depth and height — and remember that boxed furniture arrives larger than its parts.

Count delivery and assembly in the price

• Shipping: large items can carry a separate shipping charge. In a Walmart.com furniture search on October 17, 2026, one sofa showed “+ $99.99 shipping” next to its price, while other items shipped free. Check the line under the price on the listing.
• Assembly: most flat-packed furniture needs assembling. The listing usually says whether assembly is required; budget the time, and the cost if you'll pay someone.
• Materials: “wood composite” or “engineered wood” (board made from wood fibers) is not the same as solid wood. The Mainstays bookcase we checked is listed as wood composite — perfectly usable, but price it against similar materials.

Mattress deals: compare like with like

Compare mattresses by size (queen against queen), height, type (memory foam, hybrid, innerspring) and how the listing describes firmness. Mattresses that ship rolled in a box need time to expand — follow the maker's instructions before judging comfort. Trial and return terms vary by seller, so read them on the listing; the queen memory foam mattress we checked is sold by a Marketplace seller, not by Walmart.com.

Seller and returns

Bulky items are expensive to send back, so the seller line matters more here than anywhere. Of the furniture deals on this page at our October 17 check, the bookcase was sold by Walmart.com and the dresser and mattress by Marketplace sellers. Read each listing's returns information before you order.
